This is why I usually travel with a set of keys in my left pocket and a set of keys in my right pocket. No more locking yourself out.

Usually I don’t drop them in the floor as I’m closing a door as well.

Pro Tip: Get a key copy with no plastic and stick it in your wallet.

Thats why I like my proximity key. Its impossible, under normal circumstances, to lock my keys in the car.

While a fantastic idea, my wallet was in the glove box at that time.

CAA/AAA my friend! :)
Also, I use a separate car-only keychain for my car to drive it, but also have a key for it on my belt loop keychain just in case....the joys of not having keyless entry. :P

My explorer had that feature, that saved me a couple times. I remember I was in high school at the time and right after first period I noticed my keys weren’t in my pocket. I thought I lost them, nope, locked my car and left them in the ignition.
